Fiber Coupler for multimode fiber cables
The fiber collimators series 60FC-A19.5 is designed for compact and long-term
stable coupling into multimode fiber cables. If used as collimator, please note that
for multimode collimation the intensity profile is not Gaussian and depends on
certain fiber and radiation properties.
The features of the coupler type 60FC-A19.5 include:
Optics
The
achromat
with focal length 3.1 mm is designed for coupling multiple wavelengths.
It is AR-coated for 630 - 1080 nm and is suitable for 630 - 1080 nm.
It is corrected for
spherical aberrations and designed in such a way that it leads to a diffraction-limited
spot with an M2 < 1.05. Additionally, it is corrected for
chromatic aberration so that there are certain wavelengths or wavelength ranges
where the focal length does not vary significantly. It is not suitable
for UHV applications.
Adjustment of focus
The distance between fiber end-face and coupling optics is adjusted by means
of an eccentric key. The lens does not rotate when adjusting the focus. The final
focus setting is locked by means of two radially arranged clamping screws.
Connector Type
The fiber collimator is equipped with a F-SMA type receptacle.
Material
The fiber collimator type 60FC-A19.5 is made from nickel silver (standard)
Mounting
The coupler is compatible with system mount 19.5. They are also compatible with the
multicube system
where a tilt alignment is not required.
